Lancaster is changing. Let's make sure it is for the better.

We are residents of Lancaster, MA committed to responsible and sustainable development. We came together in 2022 to object to the rezoning of residential land into a massive warehouse development.

We contribute to dialogue, education, and action focused on a more livable and sustainable future for Lancaster.

Lancaster-on-the-Nashua OR Lancaster-by-the warehouses?

It's too soon to tell.

Lancaster is currently threatened by the growth of multiple mega-warehouse developments.

Over 1 MILLION square feet of warehouses have been approved by the Lancaster Planning Board in the last year, and a further  >2.4 MILLION square feet are proposed. There are also proposed plans for massive warehouses in Lunenburg that will abut Lancaster neighborhoods.

Right now, critical decisions are being made in Lancaster's local boards and committees.

We need everyone's attention and input to create our future.

Impacts of Warehouses on Lancaster

Will we become the warehouse capital of central Massachusetts?

The red circles on this map show the approximate location of proposed and approved warehouse complexes in Lancaster, MA. The warehouses are located in critical environmental and water resource areas and will negatively impact our air and water quality, in addition to worsening traffic safety concerns and threatening our quality of life.

Or is there a better future for our beautiful town?

We think there's a better future ahead for Lancaster, one where we can increase tax revenues and meet affordable housing goals WITHOUT risking the future of our town. Let's not trade Lancaster's  beauty, natural resources, and quality of life for projects that may ruin it.

LET'S KEEP LANCASTER LIVABLE!

Call for input on Lancaster's Strategic Plan

Lancaster is working on a strategic planning process that will map out town priorities for the next 10 years.

There is a survey here that will be open until April 12th.

You can read the draft plan here, and sign up for updates at the bottom of this page.

More voices and input will make for a better strategic plan, and will ensure that many viewpoints are included. The survey is anonymous.
